Sounds like a beautiful trip. I was in Scotland so long ago (I was probably 7?) and only remember the Clydesdale ponies, in Clydesdale. I remember it being very green. And very beautiful. I've always wanted to go back. Maybe one day. I sure do adore the Scottish accent!

You trip actually takes me back to the summer 2007, when I was on tour with my HS choir group as exchange students in Germany. My goodness, the castles were beyond amazing, especially in Germany and Austria. I saw (and visited) the castle that influenced the Disney Cinderella castle. I visited ruins and monasteries and breweries... le sigh.

But that castles I really fell in love with were the ones in Sweden. I was there last semester as an exchange student for Peace and Development studies at Linnaeus University in Växjö. There were castles and ruins EVERYWHERE! It was stunning... even the campus had it's own castle (less than 200 years old, though).

I want to know, though: was it hard being gf in those countries. It wasn't so hard while in Sweden, but I am curious about Scotland.
